I Love Food...

However, that love is sometimes obsessive and, therefore, unhealthy.  So… some of the topics I want to discuss on this site is our relationship with food and ways in which we can modify those unhealthy dishes we love, in order to make them healthier. Truth be told…I need to learn to curb my  ravenous monstrous appetite in order to win the battle of the bulge.  I’m sure many of you LOACAS feel the same.  Therefore, not only will this page be devoted to food but we’ll also investigate tips and tricks to keep the pounds at bay .

From time to time, I will be presenting recipes…healthier recipes.  You may be asked to choose your favorite; you may even be asked to submit your own recipes…healthier recipes.  This will be very interesting, as I often wonder…can people of Carribean decent learn to eat differently?  Can we improve our nutrition while continuing to consume the iconic signature dishes which made our culture famous ? As black people, we are notorious for not paying adequate attention to nutrition. I am guilty as charged!!! ‘ Love me some oxtail!!!
